Faith in its purest form needs no witnesses or fellow travelers; faith in its purest form is a folly of ludicrous proportions, and I pity the person who doesn't have or want it, because the same thought process that allows one to believe in a religious belief is what convinces you that your family loes you, your loved ones love you and will continue to do so, and that your life has a purpose and destiny that is grander than what you can readily imagine in the here and now. And we set ourselves up for failure and betrayals and disappointment and disillusionment, and if we remain young and forgiving and hopeful in our hearts, we set ourselves up for it again.
