The Finnish rock band called The Leningrad Cowboys. A little while ago, they held a concert in Russia, in which - to the screaming applause of Russkie teen-agers - they got the Red Army Choir to join them on stage for a performance of "Sweet Home Alabama." In English.

Despite the big hair and cheesy gold lame - this song rocks
|
No it doesn't.

If a song is pretty recently on YouTube and doesn't have as many views as its popularity would seem to warrant - it's probably something that has been and will be flagged for removal.

I ran sound tonight for *spectacular* group called The Wiyos, who perform what they lovingly refer to "Old Timey Music", including much Texas swing, vintage blues, semi-novelty tunes, and just tons of the most amazing Americana you can imagine. If you get a chance to see them, do it. Don't even think about it, just go see them. If you don't like them, send me a PM and I'll personally refund your admission. Great guys, killer musicians, wonderful stage presentation.

For those of you in the King of Prussia area of PA - The new Rolling Stones concert movie Shine a Light (Directed by Martin Scorsese) is showing at the IMAX.
Here is a clip - The quality is not ideal - it's really great on that 50 foot screen! If you like the stones at all, I think you'll enjoy the IMAX experience |
