Item No. 3? My mother was a notorious open-door bathroom person, even when the door was closed. I cannot count how many times my mom barged in on me while I was taking a crap to show me the shirt she found at Goodwill the other day, or ask me if I wanted soup for lunch.

Honestly, we once went through a three-month grudge-silence because I had the nerve to complain about her abject refusal to give me just a tiny bit of privacy while in the loo. I finally had to suck it up and APOLOGIZE TO HER, because my poor father was being driven insane by her bitching about my "unreasonable disrespect," and he begged me to do whatever I had to to make it stop.
