He sounded almost giddy this truck had traveled over 3,000 miles. WTF? That's nothing for a big rig.

That's almost a weeks work.

I'm guessing it's the sound of a drive train, absent the sound of an internal combustion engine.

Yeah, that's the ticket, a trolly, or subway. My buddy said an electric drill.

A Tesla semi can accelerate much faster than a diesel truck, but will it want to, or will it choose range as what it wants to achieve?* If it accelerates more slowly, I think it can be pretty silent, like the cars.


*I ask, as if the vehicle is making the decision.

Gimmee the deep-throated growl of a Cat C15 or a DD-16 any day. Black smoke out of the stacks a plus.

I'll take a big-block Chebbolet, two fours, singing a high song. From about, oh, say, 5,000 rpm, and building.
