Yes, and his wife would be Mrs Guy. :D

Gravdigr 06-01-2017 11:58 PM

Nobody's guessing.

Urrbody musta moved to Montana...

glatt 06-02-2017 05:15 AM

Andy Reid?

xoxoxoBruce 06-02-2017 11:05 AM

Have to beat the bushes for this one.

xoxoxoBruce 06-03-2017 10:55 AM

Stumped I guess, it's Jeb Bush and his bride on their wedding day.

Clodfobble 06-03-2017 10:35 PM

Ah, nice! Sad thing is, even with the "bushes" clue I was like, "George Bush Jr., Sr.? Nope, not either of them," and did not even think about sad, lonely, Jeb.

See? This is why you don't cheat on the 'Who Is This?' thread.

I TinEyed the pic, and this was at the top of the results, first result, actually:

Attachment 60772

Then I ran with that, and spewed out the stupid "hint" about moving to Montana (Frank Zappa, above left, had the song Montana. ♪ ♫Moving to Montana soon, Gonna be a dental floss tycoon♪ ♫).

And that's why you don't cheat on the 'Who Is This?' thread.

Because you can cheat and still be wrong, and then you look like a Moe Ron.

"This is the only picture from our wedding," Bush wrote on Facebook. "The photographer, my brother Marvin, accidentally rerolled from a Frank Zappa concert. Thankfully, my mom took one photo with a Kodak."

Gravdigr 06-04-2017 12:29 PM

Well, the first one can't be Chuck Norris, no moustache or beard for fists number 6 & 9 to come out of. The other bookend is either a gay sailor, or Sean Connery. And the gentleman in the middle sure does an excellent Morgan Freeman impersonation, sounds just like him.

You might be shocked.

This is a hint, isn't it?

Not Edison. Too skinny.

Tesla? Nikola Tesla?

Clodfobble 06-20-2017 10:48 PM

Ben Franklin's great-great-grandson.

xoxoxoBruce 06-21-2017 12:28 AM

Glatt again, it's the last known photograph of Tesla.
Genius ain't pretty, is it.

Gravdigr 07-13-2017 05:03 PM

Not Cheech, and not Snagglepuss(?).

sexobon 07-13-2017 05:11 PM

I pulled the Snagglepuss comparison from replies to the news article I'd already seen; but, didn't want to give it away.

glatt 07-13-2017 06:26 PM

Well, that gives it away. If you search snagglepuss in Google News, the first hit is Sammy Sosa's picture Grav posted above.

Good job Sexobon.

glatt 07-13-2017 06:28 PM

I was looking at baseball guys in the HR Derby, but coming up short.

Gravdigr 07-16-2017 12:07 AM

Sorry, I completely forgot about this. Yeah, I thought someone would have seen one of the several articles out recently.

Sammy Sosa.

I wonder why the Cubs have pretty much disowned him?

Clodfobble 09-28-2017 09:49 PM

That's the one!

Gravdigr 09-29-2017 12:31 PM

Glinda 09-29-2017 01:29 PM

I'm sort of disappointed in King's latest offering, written in collaboration with his son Owen. It's called Sleeping Beauties; I read the first 70 pages last night (free preview with my Nook) and found two pretty glaring continuation errors.

It's bad enough that both King and his son missed these errors, but where the hell was their editor?!?

:eyebrow:

Clodfobble 09-29-2017 02:22 PM

Were they major plot holes, or basically typos?

Glinda 09-29-2017 05:39 PM

Oh, no. Typos can be excused (sort of). This is continuity stuff - the writer forgot what he said about someone or some thing in a scene, and then contradicts the earlier statement in the same scene.

In one scene, someone knocks at the door of a guy named Truman, a backwoods meth cooker who happens to be "in his cowboy boots and boxer shorts and nothing else" when he opens the door. The visitor is a madwoman who imediately attacks him. With her maniacal grip squeezing into his throat and her ragged nails cutting into his flesh, "Truman's free hand found the grip of the Bowie knife tucked into his belt and pulled it loose."

Seriously?

The other error I found was a scene where a cops gets home late after a rough day. The cop "deposited her gunblet in the drawer, shut it, and clicked it locked again," then she crashed onto the bed with her uniform still on. She was slipping off to sleep, "and was almost there when her phone bugled at her from the utility belt laid across the ceder chest at the end of the bed."

This is bush league stuff. Sheesh, King and son. Get it together.

xoxoxoBruce 09-29-2017 08:13 PM

I always wear a belt with a knife on my boxers when I'm cooking meth.
But King doesn't say he was wearing the belt does he? It might have been on the table or hanging on a chair or hook nearby.

Oh, and maybe she wore a gun belt and utility belt.

OK King, pay me. ;)

Ok, I might buy that, but if that was the case, the author(s) should have made that very clear, or geeks like me would fixate on that seeming inconsistency in the details to the point that we wouldn't enjoy the story as we should.

Just sayin.' :p:

This will sound crazy, but the mouth and jaw look like Jesse Ventura.

fargon 10-04-2017 08:10 PM

I know but I cheated.

Clodfobble 10-04-2017 09:31 PM

My only guess would be Tom Petty because he's timely, otherwise I got nothing.

xoxoxoBruce 10-04-2017 11:09 PM

Not Ventura or Petty. This will be a tough one. He's not an American.
