I'll have to wait for another blizzard to drop a 36" snowfall to properly replicate that pic. Oh well!

Ouch.

Great shots Rhianne!

Rhianne, I love both you shots. In Boundary, I don't understand why the fence is up against the wall? Do you know if it's to keep the animals from rubbing against the stone?

Did you go back to Dayt-uhn?

I have no idea about the fence Bruce but the sheep or cattle that are likely to have been in the field generally quite like rubbing up against the walls. The fence is old but it can't be older than the wall which seems to have been repaired, in history, with differeent methods and varying levels of success - parts of it look very unsafe. Perhaps the fence was put up at one time to protect the field's inhabitants from the danger of knocking the wall over!

classicman 08-10-2010 02:03 PM

I think Bruce may have been thinking along the same lines -
Sheep or cattle rubbing against it may may the stones in the wall lean over time to the point of the wall coming down and the herd getting out or predators getting in.
Oh and yeh - more dangerous for the stupid humans.

Almost forgot - Love the Pic!

You're texture image is excellent as well.

Thanks for the comments everyone, I've really enjoyed these competitions even though I only have a silly little camera these days. I do have some decent equipment up in the attic but who wants to mess about with film now? Perhaps I should invest...

classicman 08-10-2010 03:52 PM

Its not easy finding film nor places for developing. At least round these parts
One in MD another one in SEPA and one in SNJ

Shawnee123 08-10-2010 05:25 PM

Ohhhh, I just knew it had been at the Air Force Museum (I recognized it) and you were there last year.

I should know better. You all like the planes, like I do.

I really didn't know the rule so was surprised when you said when it should be taken. Then I went back and read the rules. ;)

Anyway, it's a fine shot of a neato plane!
