We struggled through the year with World Cup then WCHA and NCAA hockey. Denver wins again. They were pretty amazing.
Dont know about next year. The Wild are doing everything they can to keep us in the fold, but lacrosse aint gettin it. We'll keep our reservations, but arent holding our breath for the great compromise. |
The ECHL Northern Division Champion Reading Royals begin their playoff run tomorrow.

HELL YEAH! GO SENATORS!

are you talking Ottawa, Binghamton, or Grundy?

Playing before a sellout crowd of 4,710 in the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, the first of the AHL playoffs in any venue, the Senators scored three third-period goals to break open a 1-1 tie and seize a commanding 2-0 advantage in the best-of-seven series, which shifts to Wilkes-Barre for Game 3 on Monday night.

The Senators clearly weren't that good, Griff. :) The Phantoms are up 2-0 in their series with Providence, as is Chicago in their series with Manitoba.
I just found out last week that the Peoria Rivermen are moving to the AHL next season and will become the Blues' main affiliate. Interesting. Originally, Peoria was the Blues' main affiliate when they were in the IHL. Then the Blues switched to Worcester in the AHL. Then the Rivermen moved to San Antonio. Then a new Peoria team played in the ECHL. Now they're moving to the AHL and the Worcester Ice Cats will cease to exist. Now, if the Blues would just play next season... |
