Orificial Medicine

Orificial... not official, not artificial, orificial.
For about 30 or so years around the beginning of the 20th century orificial medicine flourished. The belief that every ailment could be fixed, all diseases cured, by operating on the orifices of the body. All, but particularly the ones below the belt, were of most interest to the surgeons.

My training class' motto (very iteration had one) was "Fingers and tubes in every orifice."

For many months now, words in my posts have been being subtly changed here and there after I've posted and even proof read them again afterwards. The last time it happened, the word thorough was changed to through. It doesn't happen right after I post (sometimes it's hours later); so, it doesn't seem to be the software. It's more like someone with access (MUI?); or, someone who has access but shouldn't, thinks it's funny. I'm not going to be bothered with taking screen shots of all my posts to demonstrate it. When I see it's happened, I'll edit it back though if it's within the allotted time frame.

It's ok.
