That way you all could talk to each other but not be heard by the folks in meat space.

I'd flip the view, so people would think it's recording a video and not obstruct the view.

I was there but was *also* on a Zoom call to P*psi, my shift doesn't end for another hour... so I saw y'all but didn't listen and was just barely able to switch to listening for the ceremony part.

...and now I'm on a different Zoom call to P*psi... this is my life now, listening to people in India reconfigure routers in Omaha to see if it fixes what is broken...

have they tried turning it off and on again?

It was lovely sharing the peanut gallery with all the relatives. I loved the "feeding time at the zoo" moments when people came over to look at us :D

I'm unemployed and that was my second long zoom of the day too. The other one was training how to use zoom to help tutor adult literacy learners -most of whom need tech tutelage before they can get to the literacy bit.

Don't ya feel we'll all be holding some sort of zoom-burning party once covid is dealt with?

Learned this week that Zoom's market capitalization is approximately equal to that of Exxon-Mobil, so.... I don't think herd mentality will be the death knell of Zoom.

I was having break from computer use during all of this - tho as I am not so good at staying awake past midnight these days I'd probably not have made it anyway :P
