Gravdigr 05-18-2019 11:41 AM

Well shit.

sexobon 05-18-2019 11:54 AM

It was nice; but, not worth giving up everything else your money can buy.

lumberjim 05-18-2019 09:59 PM

There are a few others nearby that have merit. Nothing else that has All the things, but a couple that have enough of the things. And there's one that's cheap, but gutted... All potential... Maybe the next project...

xoxoxoBruce 05-18-2019 10:28 PM

I wonder if was a developer going put up condos or apartments?

lumberjim 05-19-2019 08:15 AM

Highly doubtful. I hope it's a nice young family that raises great kids and they love the house for a long time. Or that they lose their job before settlement and the deal falls through.

sexobon 05-19-2019 08:55 AM

Perhaps the princess charmed a family man with the seven year itch into offering tens of thousands more in the heat of the moment. Don't make an offer on anything else until after this one closes. It ain't over 'til it's over.

Gravdigr 05-19-2019 10:21 AM

There are more cliches in that post than you can shake a stick at.

:p:

sexobon 05-19-2019 11:00 AM

Clichés are cheaper by the dozen, a baker's dozen even.

Gravdigr 05-19-2019 11:11 AM

Yeah, well, it's a slippery slope.

Plenty of fish in the sea?

This came from a file of stock photos the current Mad Men use to include handicapped people in advertising. See, it's normal, I was kidding you.

I assumed with that harness she is blind, but she's looking down at the steps.
I got the feeling she is black and they've lightened her hands and face.
Maybe black and blind is too much for one ad.

I see them on all my neighbors' porch steps. A couple of them don't even have railings, though. Our railing got put in as a result of a rental inspection they do every 2 years in my town.

Ripley, Amanda and I just finished the planting yesterday. Well, I mostly laid down mulch and moved heavy things for her and Amanda.

She also came with us to see a couple other houses, but none of them blew our skirt up. I'll wait for the universe to present something.

I learned that the other bidder had a larger down payment than we did on such short notice, and that was the main reason they took theirs over ours.

lumberjim 05-22-2019 03:14 PM

Found out that on addition to the other people bidding over asking price, they also had a larger down payment. That makes the appraisal less of a concern for the seller.

Wouldn't it be ironic if 4 days later, Amanda's dad gave her $50k out of the clear blue sky?

Yeah. Funny.

Oops repeat.

Just bad timing. If he had stopped by the week before....
