Pittsburgh Weekend

My belated birthday present from my beloved were great seats at PPG Arena for a Penguin's game! We drove across the state, wandered the city, celebrated a great game with the Yinzers, and ate the local chow. Nice!

They won, you won, Pete won, great weekend!

They had lost two OT games in a row so they came out hard!

Yeah, we went up the Duquesne Incline, the old one from 1877. That was neat. I took some video of the machinery but I don't know if it actually captures it.

Pittsburgh cleans up real purty.

Yeah nice one in a nice town. We even got Yinzed a couple times.

Actually, after a bit of googling... I meant a Primaris kitchen sink sandwich. Dunno why I thought it was called schmitter.

I had the corned beef and cheese. It had the coleslaw and fries on it, was really good and was entirely too much food. I ate 3/4 quarters of the thing. Quality ingredients, good stuff, but requires a bigger man than me.

All of the sandwiches have coleslaw and fries. Only the suburban locations will allow you to get the sandwich without those ingredients. I love the kielbasa. If you love the bread, it's made down the street from the original location (in the strip district) at a place called Mancini's. They have good bread, period.

Too bad I didn't see this earlier! That's my hometown :)
