Nipple Stickers
1 Attachment(s)
I did a lot of running around today, lots of delays and a lot of traffic.
When I got home I realized I forgot to remove the nipple stickers after my chest x-ray. Pardon the moob hair. Other places have used tiny bandaids but these are about 9/16" (14.3 mm) in diameter and have a tiny metal bead in the center. The bead is about 1/16" (1.6 mm) in diameter. Does anyone know what that bead is for besides driving up cost and making me look sexy in a t-shirt? |
I think it's a landmark for interpreting the image later.
"Clinical studies suggest that nipple markers help expedite image critique and interpretation, detect movement, reduce retakes, improve positioning and serve as a valuable landmark in obtaining precise measurement to areas of concern." |
no... it's where they attach the tassels!

It was an interesting day in high school when I learned that "pasties" in Britain is just another synonym for "pastries," and also "rubber" as a noun means "eraser."
