Nipple Stickers

1 Attachment(s)
I did a lot of running around today, lots of delays and a lot of traffic.
When I got home I realized I forgot to remove the nipple stickers after my chest x-ray. Pardon the moob hair.
Other places have used tiny bandaids but these are about 9/16" (14.3 mm) in diameter and have a tiny metal bead in the center.
The bead is about 1/16" (1.6 mm) in diameter.
Does anyone know what that bead is for besides driving up cost and making me look sexy in a t-shirt?

I think it's a landmark for interpreting the image later.

"Clinical studies suggest that nipple markers help expedite image critique and interpretation, detect movement, reduce retakes, improve positioning and serve as a valuable landmark in obtaining precise measurement to areas of concern."

It was an interesting day in high school when I learned that "pasties" in Britain is just another synonym for "pastries," and also "rubber" as a noun means "eraser."

I do need to correct that :P : - 'pasties' isn't a synonym for 'pastries' - a pasty is a particular kind of baked pastry. All pasties are pastries but most pastries are not pasties.

Specifically:

Quote:

A pasty or pastie (/ˈpɑːsti/ or /ˈpæsti/, Cornish: Pasti)[1] is a baked pastry, a traditional variety of which is particularly associated with Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is made by placing an uncooked filling, typically meat and vegetables, on one half of a flat shortcrust pastry circle, folding the pastry in half to wrap the filling in a semicircle and crimping the curved edge to form a seal before baking.
