Is it on Netflix? Or do I go to an online site to stream it, or ...?

Clodfobble 05-08-2013 06:23 PM

Netflix has DVDs of seasons 1 and 2, and by the time you finish those they will probably have season 3 as well.

Thanks!

I doubt season 3 will be available soon; the season't not over yet and HBO is VERY slow to release DVDs. And you can't (legally) stream it unless you have access to HBO GO.

Oh you're right, I thought 4 was what was on TV now. In that case season 3 probably won't be available for another year-ish.

I've noticed this too, and I don't understand it. Doesn't HBO know that if there is pent up demand, and they don't offer a way to legally slake that thirst for non-subscribers, many people are gonna steal it?

jimhelm 05-09-2013 08:10 AM

They didn't even get season 2 out in time for Christmas last year. I got Season 1 the previous year... and it was on my list last year.... but no.

Happy Monkey 05-09-2013 11:15 AM

Delaying DVDs increases the value of the HBO subscription, which is good for both HBO and the cable companies. I don't think any of them yet have the mindset to preempt piracy; just to try to punish it.

glatt 05-09-2013 11:28 AM

it also decreases the value of the DVDs, because many people will have already seen it illegally.

Happy Monkey 05-09-2013 11:47 AM

True.

BTW, apparently GRR Martin wrote next Sunday's episode.

That should be good.
