High speed sorting of grapes, raisins, and bugs.

Clodfobble 08-28-2017 10:13 PM

"Perfect result"... um, kind of. I saw a fair number of yucky bits still in the acceptable bin.

xoxoxoBruce 08-28-2017 11:03 PM

What you think are yucky bits by sight the machine has determined are within the acceptable range for squeezing juice.
How dare you question Zorg, human.:eyebrow: Security! Security! :haha:

Gravdigr 08-31-2017 11:16 AM

Man. I hate when that happens.

xoxoxoBruce 09-02-2017 12:14 PM

I love it...

Pico and ME 09-02-2017 12:25 PM

:D Well done.

DanaC 09-02-2017 03:10 PM

An advert from Danish TV - (English voiceover version)

Gravdigr 09-02-2017 03:18 PM

I'm not sure we (us) can handle there not being a them.

DanaC 09-02-2017 03:24 PM

Yeah - it's nice to be reminded though, from time to time that they are in fact us and we them.

zippyt 09-02-2017 06:21 PM

Stay safe ( watch it all the way to the end !!!!)

sexobon 09-02-2017 07:49 PM

Maybe a little opera to give the thread some class.

xoxoxoBruce 09-10-2017 10:36 PM

Hey South America, did you hear, North America caught Europitis. :eek3:

Gravdigr 09-14-2017 02:24 PM

Bob Ross once did a painting in shades of gray for a single colorblind fan. For whatever reason, I find that awesome.

xoxoxoBruce 09-14-2017 10:19 PM

Yes he was quite a guy. The only thing that seemed to make him unhappy was his hair. As a starving artist he got it permed to save money. When he became a recognized public figure people identified him with the hair and he was stuck with it.

I don't remember if I mentioned it before but I have half a dozen unsigned paintings, 9" x 18", on cheap gray shirt cardboard, in the Bob Ross style. My family bought them for $5 each, from a guy outside the Piggy Wiggly in Anchorage, AK, during the early '50s. Bob Ross was stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage at that time. Makes me wonder if it was him or the guy who taught him the style?

Clodfobble 09-14-2017 10:23 PM

How does perming one's hair save money? Compared to what?

fargon 09-14-2017 10:24 PM

I thought he was retired from the Air Force.

xoxoxoBruce 09-14-2017 10:37 PM

Perming avoids haircuts every 10 days to two weeks when you're trying to impress people and break into show biz.

Clodfobble 09-15-2017 06:07 AM

Wow. Mr. Clod gets one every six weeks and it always seemed a little excessive to me. 10 days is insane.

glatt 09-15-2017 07:24 AM

2-3 months between haircuts for me.

If you have a short haircut style, then any growth is more noticeable. The longer the hair, the less noticeable growth is.

xoxoxoBruce 09-15-2017 11:18 AM

The demands of the camera are constant. I used to go every couple of months when I had hair. Now I go once a month to keep from chewing my beard. I could trim that myself but she has three kids to support... and great cleavage.

BigV 09-17-2017 02:14 PM

"Rapid unscheduled disassembly", many times.
Turn up the volume and put it on the biggest screen and enjoy!

Gravdigr 09-19-2017 03:22 PM

"Rapid unscheduled disassembly"...I've done that with lunch a few times.

xoxoxoBruce 09-20-2017 10:18 PM

Motorcycle Cops...

glatt 09-21-2017 07:06 AM

At first I thought it was a parade, but then they were alone.

Gravdigr 09-21-2017 12:15 PM

Biker trash...

xoxoxoBruce 09-23-2017 12:11 AM

Trying to figure out what the wheels are for...

glatt 09-23-2017 06:04 AM

Does it use a rudder to steer? I didn't see any. If not, there is a tremendous amount of leverage force against that train car that ties it to the tracks.

Presumably this would also travel to cities. Does it clear obstacles like buildings and overpasses with enough distance that the wind from the props doesn't damage other property?

I don't see what this craft gives you that a train doesn't already provide. It's wide instead of long and skinny, but that's about it.

xoxoxoBruce 09-23-2017 08:25 AM

I think it's a Russian pipe dream like this one...

Doesn't matter. It's not real, and never will be.

xoxoxoBruce 09-23-2017 09:00 PM

That's true but whoever made the video evidently thought they were necessary, so I wonder what they were thinking.

xoxoxoBruce 09-25-2017 12:08 PM

From Taiwan comes the greatest motorcycle commercial ever. :thumb:

Taxiing at the maintenance yard. It's how they move it around with a tug rather than have the main motors provide lift and thrust.

xoxoxoBruce 09-29-2017 09:31 PM

Tesla coil plays Van Halen..

xoxoxoBruce 10-03-2017 08:06 PM

Seeing the way they build these new high tech pinball machines reminds me of Boeing. Wire sub-harnesses built and tested on boards, sub-assembly build and test, many similar methods.

xoxoxoBruce 10-05-2017 10:46 AM

Beware of the Alt Left.

xoxoxoBruce 10-06-2017 11:28 PM

You can watch Ken Block's whole 9 minute run up Pikes Peak, or check out some especially butt clenching moments between 5 and 6 minutes.
Of course bigger be better.

xoxoxoBruce 10-12-2017 08:36 PM

Googly eyes.

BigV 10-13-2017 09:43 PM

I love it.

Gravdigr 10-15-2017 12:30 PM

Gravdigr 10-25-2017 01:21 PM

Idk how to post an Instagram vid, so here:

Rubber fist meets rubber face.

An incredibly life-like rubber face. I mean, look at it.:3_eyes:

fargon 10-25-2017 03:47 PM

EEK!!! How about nightmare fuel next time. After contact just looks creepy.

Gravdigr 10-26-2017 12:54 AM

It's a little skeevy ain't it?:yesnod:

xoxoxoBruce 11-07-2017 12:12 AM

20 seconds of crazy...

Gravdigr 11-07-2017 03:08 PM

Ok, I wasn't expecting that.

Gravdigr 11-11-2017 01:13 PM

How good are you at marking the passage of time? Three people had the chance to win 10 grand by pressing a button one hour from the start time. In isolation booths.

Most interesting were the techniques they used.

xoxoxoBruce 11-11-2017 01:20 PM

My 2nd wife was amazing, we'd be driving cross country for hours listening to tapes with no clock, and she knew what time it was within 5 minutes all the time.

Gravdigr 11-11-2017 01:23 PM

Sharks 'attack' submersible.

Get to close to my plate and I do the same thing.

xoxoxoBruce 11-22-2017 10:48 AM

This Russian repairs the BMW in 15 days, plus another 12 days to paint. I think the 12 days includes reassembly of the painted parts.

xoxoxoBruce 11-22-2017 07:53 PM

Man, I could have used one of these...

BigV 11-23-2017 11:45 AM

That's slick. I could put one to good use.

Gravdigr 11-24-2017 12:25 AM

Wait...

Good old Matthias Wandel. I've been occasionally singing his praises here for a decade or more. He even designed my bandsaw. Did you hear about my bandsaw?

He's gained a decent following on YouTube and I'm happy for him.

He's had videos in the past dealing, with a mouse problem he has in a shed in the country. But this video is a fun one, where he does experiments on how small a hole those mice can get through. Make sure you have the sound on, because he has fun with sound effects.
