Eating Australia

I took pictures of some of the meals we had in restaurants. Australia has pretty good food overall. They do serve chips with just about everything though. And you have to ask for tomato sauce and not catsup.

First 2 were from a Greek restaurant, second 2 from Jamie Oliver's Italian in Brisbane.

We drank a lot of wine there as well as some good beer. Seafood in Brisbane was very fresh. Also a lot of good Asian food.

They had really good oysters. Turkish pizza was really good at one place, Pide I think they call it.

This one place on the river, Stokehouse was really nice. The dishes were small and a bit pricey but were all good and very creatively presented.

Just about every casual place has their version of Fish and Chips and Lamb burgers.

They put rocket or arugula on a lot of dishes, it must be grown everywhere down there. And you get beetroot on the burgers which we actually liked.

They have good jerky, I even found one from kangaroo. Beer goes well with jerky! Pork belly was also on most menus.

The alcohol industry has gotten very creative.
