Poem Fragments
"Oh Mama! They're starting the farting!" she cried
"Do let's finish our beans and hurry inside" |
"Oh, Digr, I'm feeling the reeling!" she sighed,
"I love how you roll' em so fat and so wide!" Or, is this a private shindig? |
Of course not, this is The Cellar where everything is communal.
:D  |
Good, cuz:
I got rhymes that are bad And rhymes that are great Mixed up together Right here in this crate |
...and somewhere a neon light flickers to life.
I've had that line in my head for a year or more... ...trying to figure out what to do with it. |
And somewhere a neon light flickers to life.
It's soft hum soothing the day's concern |
I tried to put it in something about what the neon lights witness in the bars and clubs at night, and whether they feel empathy, or just hang there laughing at us maybe.
I could never get anywhere with it. Couldn't get in the right frame of mind, I guess. I had the melody, at one point... |
And somewhere, someone turns to the neon light...
I got notebooks full of lines. Only lines. And none of them fit together. |
Oh I like that idea
I also have loads of single lines and fragments that will probably never go anywhere. |
me three.
I now carry around three mini notebooks -one for pottery inspirations, one for poem fragments/interesting wordish ideas, and one for other craft ideas |
