Why can't we just get along?

Somehow I missed that episode of ER.

We do for the most part.

People may stew over being offended but not normally for long.

Think of all the guns and trucks and gas pumps and axes and hammers and dudes wielding nothing but a garage door frame and genius use of ratchet tie-downs and straps wearing an ape suit.

There's a lot of violent potential there. Much more than what materializes.

It's OK, she was elected to wreck shit, and piss off the Republicans. ;)

I think we forget where we come from.

That all men have a natural and unalienable right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences and understanding: And that no man ought or of right can be compelled to attend any religious worship, or erect or support any place of worship, or maintain any ministry, contrary to, or against, his own free will and consent: Nor can any man, who acknowledges the being of a God, be justly deprived or abridged of any civil right as a citizen, on account of his religious sentiments or peculiar mode of religious worship: And that no authority can or ought to be vested in, or assumed by any power whatever, that shall in any case interfere with, or in any manner controul, the right of conscience in the free exercise of religious worship. Article 2 of the Declaration of Rights, 1776 PA Constitution

However, we can butt fuck those atheists in the mouth? :lol2:

Griff 03-28-2019 04:52 PM

absolutely!

We could try to be gentle though. ;)

fargon 03-28-2019 08:45 PM

It feels better if you're gentle.

Many of the colonies passed laws to keep not-the-right-faith from holding public office. The others just put into practice by custom without any law.
I can see at the time, there was a lot of turmoil for a decade, and citizens(white&male) wanted people(white&male) they trusted running the show.
Unfortunately they chose religion as one of the benchmarks, which has since proven not to be a plus, and quite often a minus.
When anyone keeps reminding you of how they are God's buddy just think about Swaggart, Baker and Nixon. :eyebrow:
