Home Made Gifts

Hey kids, Mom’s/Grandma’s/Aunt Bea’s birthday is coming up and you don’t have any money. Maybe the school bully took it, or you gave it to Alice/Andy to see what was inside their underpants, or you gave it to that strange man with the overcoat that hangs around the playground.
You used to be able to wash off a rock and claim it was a Pet Rock but you lost the packaging, but that won’t cut it anymore. No problem, just paint the rock! I guaranty they’ll be all teary eyed and huggy no matter how badly you paint. CAUTION, If you try this on Sis she will critique the shit out of it. |

Reminds me of a verse from "Skullcrusher Mountain" by Jonathan Coulton:
♪ ♫I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you But I get the feeling that you don't like it What's with all the screaming? You like monkeys, you like ponies Maybe you don't like monsters so much Maybe I used too many monkeys Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?♪ ♫ |

Momdigr does this occasionally, the rock-painting-thing: Attachment 59713 Attachment 59714 One billion points if you can tell me where that lighthouse is. |
And I don't mean my living room.:right:

I love that line, isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?

The kids can make these for grandparents, aunts, and uncles, people who will love it or at least old enough to be polite if the don't. ;)
