My daughter is 2 months old today
 

I took a few photos this morning. Here she is...(excuse the pic of me without my shirt on, these were taken when she had just woke me up to feed her). Man, she doesn't even look a little bit like her mother. I've never seen a redheaded, white skinned, blue-eyed Vietnamese girl before.

She's adorable, Radar! And for the record, I happen to know more than a few half-Vietnamese babies, and you're right--her features are amazingly uncommon. Them's some strong genes you got there! ;)

Thanks for the kind words. I love her so much. I can't believe how cute she is. She got her shots today and I had to leave the room while they were doing it. I couldn't stand to see them do it.

My genes put my wife's genes in a headlock and said, "We've been waiting 38 years!!!"

Seriously though it's awesome. My wife can't get her to sleep and all I do is pick her up and walk around the apartment and talk to her. In 5 minutes she's asleep. I don't know whether to be insulted or happy. ;)

I totally didn't even think about the tattoo. Sometimes I forget I've got it. I wanted to do more with it, but my wife would be pretty upset.

I envy Nina. Every morning when she wakes up, she looks so excited and happy. It's like she's thinking, "Wow, another day!". I wish I could wake up like that. Also, babies are the only people who don't look drunk when they are sleeping.

One of the photos above looks strange because she's got one foot tucked in and the other stretched out. It looks like she's got a deformed leg or something and she doesn't.

She's getting chunky little arms and legs with rolls. Is it normal that I want to bite them?

I think you're supposed to bite them, or at least chew on them a little. :)

My wife got me really good the other day. I said, "Look honey, she doesn't look anything like you. From the top to bottom she looks just like her daddy."

My wife said, "I don't know. Her vagina looks a bit like mine."

I sat down and said, "You win."

What'll be really awesome is if she grows up, marries a white guy, and then those recessive genes come out of the woodwork and they have a completely Vietnamese-looking baby.

It might not be too fun for that guy... but I'll love it.
