Have You Checked Your Blinker Fluid
Ok, when was the last time you checked the blinker fluid in your car? Your blinkers provide an important safety feature and it is surprising how many folks don't check theirs. Here's a link giving detailed instructions on how to check your fluid level & change it if necessary.

Big Sarge, thanks for the reminder. The other important thing people overlook is changing the air in their tires. Air is the only thing holding up your car (or bike) and it loses springyness after a few thousand miles.

Anyone know where I can get some 710 fluid?
Kale Co. Auto, glatt.. always worth revisiting
Hmmm....I've never heard of it!

Remember, you'll need the right handed wrench to get the cap back on.
That reminds me, the other day I was working on a carpentry job. I cut a piece three times, and it was still too short. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap board stretcher? I've tried craigs list to no avail.
Big Sarge, your XO called, he needs you to return the keys to the drop zone. They can't turn the range fans on with out them.
whaddya mean? They recommend changing that every time I bring my car in . . .
I'm sure it's full of it. |

I don't have a board stretcher, but I'll send you my electric hammer. Makes those jobs easy. |
My blinkers used to go on and off too rapidly. It was really annoying; so, I added a teaspoonful of brake fluid to the blinker fluid and now they work just fine.

joe, I can't believe you posted for a board stretcher on craigslist and didn't get any replies. I'd have thought that would attract a lot of attention.

Right next to your 100' of Flight line ,
close to your Snipe hunting Gear |

I need some slack. Anyone know where I can pick up a roll?

I keep getting a mental image of people applying oil to the blinkers on horses.
(we call them indicators in the UK) |
Can I have my mechanic do this while he's fixing my brakelight rotors?
Sadly, your brakelight rotors can't be repaired. They're cellular, modular, interactive-odular, so the whole unit has to be replaced with an expensive new one, from some third world shithole.
Don't forget that just a small amount of Flubber can turn your flivver into a flier.
Good advice Sarge. Luckily my mechanic always includes changing my blinker fluid at every oil change.
But I'm in the middle of repainting the window trim on my home and went to buy a ladder to get access to my second floor trim. Silly me! Instead I bought a sky hook and it reaches to any height I need beyond the length of the ladder. That was the selling point that convinced me. Aliantha, Lowe's sells camo paint. Check with them, they might carry striped paint in various color combinations. |
I washed the basement windows this morning. It took me hours to dig the holes for the ladder.
A big one around here is asking the FNG to go get some Otis elevators and some fallopian tubes.
When I worked in a factory, they would send the new guy to get a bucket of steam to clean some piece of equipment.

The question is, if you find ones that aren't in the maternity ward, do you have the correct tool to get into the box?
I'm not a surgeon, but I'll take a look.
Look, you guys can joke all you want... but this is serious business. When I was in high school I used to change the blinker fluid myself, just like my older brother taught me. Nowadays I take the car in to a mechanic, and they look at me like I'm stupid or something when I ask for this simple maintenance.
