I do keep reading this as Dove of the Yard.
Which has the feeling of a detective story from between the wars. |
Henceforth, all of our doves will be known as 'Inspector Dove, of the Yard'.
After all, they do seem to just sit around on the wire, or the tree limb, or the eaves, or the gutters and just inspect things in general. |
