The boys generally took their cue from the girls. If the girls didn't like a girl, the guys wouldn't like her either. And the girls hung on to their cruelty looooong after the boys did.
Definitely agree on that one. Spent many days trying to figure out what I ever did. I'd go to a new school, not have said a word, and was outcast immediately. I'm not disfigured or anything, just really tall (6'1" since I was 17). My hair was platinum (and I mean white, nearly albino) blonde. And that somehow would set them off. I was usually the one that hung out with the other outcasts, which may have had something to do with it.
