i was on the flight line one day, when i noticed one of the f16's coming in from an unusual direction... i had that -"oh shit, this can't end well" hair on the neck moment just as another 16 on the correct path came down on top of it. both pilots lived but the USAF had two fewer fighters to fly. (turns out the one who screwed up was an instructor. end of career...)
