That was a very moving letter. However, I find it hard to believe that it takes two years to get some assistance, however meager. Have you tried the local County Governmental Agencies such as the Department of Human Services for the Colorado Area (
http://www.cdhs.state.co.us/) They are the agency that distributes the grant money and that fund the various county agencies. Hope the link helps.
