I've found Firefox to be a pretty good browser once you download all the extentions you're used to having in IE. I've had to switch to IE a few times to view or open some things that Firefox doesn't support but I'm happy with it overall. I guess that's why they still have the 'View this page in IE' option. The tabbed browsing is great too.
Thunderbird is by far the best email program I've ever used, very convenient and easy to use. I have yet to receive any spam through it!
