i think i said it before. this whole shiavo (sp) case is bullshit. current law states that removing breathing tube is acceptable, patient is beyond recovery, has a living spouse who says 'let her go". that should be the end of it.
what you have is pretty damn stupid - the republicans (remember the party of small government) interfering in this situation.
if they were that concerned they should look at changing the law about removal of breathing tubes, instead of focusing on one person for stupid PR reasons.
the only beef i have with the situation is that removing nutrients from a still living creature seems cruel to me. i would support a hot shot over this slow death.
