Another note, even if the handle is cool enough to hold when you take it off the burner using this nuclear option, you don't want to put it on anything but metal, like the stove or a cooling rack, or the sink. Not the cutting board.

Maybe I'll post the picture tomorrow of the branding I did of our breadboard from the bottom of the skillet. Trust me on this one.
