There are a variety of sarcastic comments that I could, of course, make under these circumstances.
In deference to Garnet, I will not be making them at this time. I know there are a lot of sincere people working for and supporting PETA, even if I think they are mistaken.
Becoming suddenly disillusioned can be very disorienting and painful.
