Sadly we Brits have to put up with the usual old rubbish like 'One Foot in the Grave', 'Only Fools and Horses', and more recently 'Little Britain'. Don't know how put up with it all. Somehow we just keep churning them out: 'Monty Python', 'Faulty Towers', 'Smith and Jones', 'The Office', 'Gimme, Gimme, Gimme', 'Fast Show', - we just can't seem to make em like the Muppets!
PS - I can't access the Muppets extract so will take you at your word that it is 5-star rated
