It was March and they could only fly in daylight and good weather.
Followed railroad tracks and the Alcan highway, slept under the plane in sleeping bags and it took them twice as long as he could have driven it in.  |
Actually, that does sound like fun. It beats a cramped seat in a commercial airliner eating $5 sandwiches and waiting for the line to the bathrooms to end. Of course, at least airliners
have bathrooms.
