Gin isn't bitter at all, in fact, it's very sweet. Particularly if you choose a nice one. Like all spirits, you get what you pay for.

Fallen, that's right. Also almonds, lemon peel, liquorice, and Iris Root. That's what it says on my bottle anyway.
