Pretty close, actually.
It's the
ExitAir emergency evacuation hood.
They gave a bunch of these out at work after 9/11. We happened to move offices about a year ago, and after the move I went back to the old building to make sure my department got everything. There were a bunch of these things kicking around in various empty offices, so I brought one home to play with. It has a strechy rubber neck flange to keep things air tight, and has huge activated charcoal filters in the front and back to let you breath without smoke getting in. I haven't tried it in a smoky environment, so I don't know if that works, but it doesn't fog up inside like you would expect, and there is plenty of air for breathing. Plus, as you can see below, it's very stylish.
