Here we see "baseline qualities"--equal in every person--that have meaning. Some of Jefferson's contemporaries would have held that
not all men are created equal. His statement conveys meaning, even though it asserts that these qualities are inherent in all people. (Of course in practice he fell short of honoring it where his slaves were concerned.)
But what does your assertion "every person is valid" mean?

Convincing implies the power to dispel doubt or overcome resistance or opposition: convincing proof.
