I saw this one in mid-flight from north San Diego county. I've seen dozens of these over the years (I'm a life-long Southern Cal resident).

The contrails almost always have some "kinkiness" to them and it's invariably from differing wind velocities at altitude.

These clear-sky sunset launches are always spectacular and this photo proves it.
