If I recall my high school physics teacher correctly, one of the variables was off.
In researching it further, it would appear that constant motion is needed (Special Theory of Relativity). Hence, the General Theory of Relativity, which takes gravity into account.

I am not overly versed on matters of physics...I hated it. But for some reason, this always stuck out to me...along with the score of 9% that got me a D on my physics final.
