I think the plastic bottles are only a problem when refilled and used repeatedly. I wish I could remember where i read it, but the basics were;
~Cloudy plastic is safer than clear, but you only find them in gallons for the most part.
~Clear bottles are ok until you start bending them which micro-cracks the smooth surface.
UT, yes....Petroleum is major in every step. Pumping the water with electric pumps, operating the bottling plant, plastic bottles, transportation from point to point ending at you're house, and disposing of the trash.
So much time and resources for something that's not necessary.
He makes the point, if we spent that much money on improving water supply systems, everyone in the World
could have safe water.
