How is that weird? From what I've heard that's something that has happened to almost everyone, in one way or another.
And yes, maybe your parents could be correct? But that depends on you and your boyfriend....
However, it's been my experience that parents aren't stupid. That's part of the reason why we have parents...they've had more experiences than we have and they usually know what is best. Even if we don't realize it until we get older...
