Check stellar-wind research... T Tauri protostars are noted for blueshifted spectral features indicative of high velocity radial expansion of gas -- a hurricane of a solar wind -- are they not? There seem to be a variety of solar wind conditions at various points of stellar evolution, and the biggest winds seem at either end of the star's life, that is those parts of it not on the main sequence.
