I've heard it said, that Thatcher did for feminism, what the Boston strangler did for door to door sales.
Like Wales, the region I lived in suffered under her rule. I watched my home town die a death. Streets and streets of repossessed houses, unemployment at hideous levels, communities broken up and disheveled. It's what made me political.
