Thanks Patrick. Julia, my wife, is now home. Not such a good day though, as she thought she was able to move around more than she could. Who would have thought that even the handheld shower head could be so heavy, let alone the plastic jug kettle. It's all turned out to be a painful lesson but at least now she is doing what she needs to do and that is to rest completely. It's probably more difficult for someone like her who tends to be active and wanting to get on with things.

Should see the beginnings of a parade of her friends beginning to call from tomorrow and over the next few days, a good number of whom have been through the op themselves and so will be knowledgeable company.

After the dramatic and accelerated recovery over the few days while in hospital, things are going to be slower from now on, something that I know she will find hard to accept, but she's sensible enough to do so, I am certain.
