No. As a kid I skated on the Hershey Bears ice many times over a winter. But in the big town they don't keep the ice open and have no skate rental down at the FU Center, nor even at the old Spectrum where the Phantoms play. Off hours they convert for basketball and indoor soccer and concerts. It's wherever the money is to be made.

Also, most of the rinks around here are suburban anyway; it takes real estate, and skating (on ice) isn't exactly an urban activity in the lower 48.
