several breeders in recent years have been experimenting along these lines. The problem is that cats really are not tame animals, and the larger cats like these never lose their wildness, particularly as they get older, and are not good pets.

The person who breeds a truly docile larger or "wild" looking cat suitable for companion animals stands to make a fortune, but it hasn't happened yet.
