This could be one of those most unforgettable person things.
Esta K. Manthos is a very cool woman, I've know for 40 odd years. Mischievous smile, a ponytail, great sense of humor and the owner of the Indian Motocycle Museum, housed in the last remaining building of the Indian factory. How's that for an appealing woman?
She's one of those people that's, been there/done that, before anyone considered it possible or acceptable. She got into motocycles, as a friend of the Hendee family(co-founder of Indian Motocycle) at the age of 16... that was 75 years ago. She has a set of white leathers, white '42 Indian Scout and a black Pontiac Firebird with the MA license plate, "INJUN".
True to form, instead of selling the collection off for millions, Esta has donated the entire collection to "
the Springfield Museums Association to assure it will be remain in the city where the historic company was founded more than a century ago."
Esta K. Manthos is a very good person... and a very cool broad.
