After the rampant issue of double entendres in the thread on a roof top box for the car, i thought some dwellars might enjoy some Frankie Howerd.
I was recently directed to a site where of tv shows and movies, inclusing a lot of old British tv stuff.
Here is Up Pompeii with Frankie at his best.
One of IMDB's reviews is "
The satire may be more juvenile than Juvenal, but "Up, Pompeii" remains a classic bit of English gutter subversion., "
Spot on

On that site also "Allo Allo", a comedy about Nazi occupied France,

(you'd never get this on US tv

) more double and single entendres, and cliche'd steretyped characters than you can shake a sausage at.

also a classic old piece of very British TV 'Dads Army', not so much smutty humour here.
used the catch phrase "Don't Panic" before Douglas Adams.
