You have 2-3 cups of coffee a day?

Yeah. That is a lot, even if it doesn't sound like it. Depending on how big your "cups" are and how strong your coffee is, that's like drinking 4-8 sodas a day.

I used to have a caffeine addiction--of just one soda a day. I didn't know I was addicted, really, until I had to quit because of breastfeeding. (Actually, it was just one of many things I tried, and it ultimately turned out a different thing was causing the problem, but by then I'd already quit.) I went cold turkey. The first day was okay. The second day I was exhausted, and I passed out at 8:30 and slept until 10:00 am the next morning. So did the baby. Another day or two of extra sleeping, and from then on, I felt freaking awesome. I'm not kidding, it was revolutionary. I have since stayed off, even though I don't have to anymore, because of how much better I feel. I am actively campaigning for my husband to quit too, but he hasn't found a whole weekend he can sleep off yet, too much work going on right now.

I'm telling you, it's definitely worth a try. It's too late for this weekend, but plan it for the next one. No coffee starting Friday morning, have a friend or relative come help out with the kids so you can even out all weekend. It might not solve everything, but I guarantee you, you will feel so much better by Tuesday at the latest.
