Not very effective, IMO. You know, when you're trying to get someone to do something, psychologically it is better to speak in positive terms than negative. If you want a child to stop running by the pool, you don't yell "stop running!" You yell, "walk!" Just my thoughts on the matter. This is reverse psychology. Sort of like saying, DON'T click here/push the button/open the door/etc. Perhaps subconsciously he wants us to vote democrat?
