This year, the Libertarian Party is running Bob Barr who is not a libertarian in the slightest. That is to say, he's exactly as libertarian as you are.
The Bush administration did more damage to America than any other president in American history including Lincoln, FDR, Taft, Wilson, Clinton, and Nixon.
McCain will continue his failed and destructive policies and he'll most likely die while in office leaving us with an airheaded neocon. Bush nearly destroyed America, and they would finish the job.
This year will be no different. Either a Republican or a Democrat will win. So my choice is to pick the candidate that is least offensive to true libertarians. Normally, I'd vote for the libertarian candidate, but since the LP is no longer run by actual libertarians and they are running a candidate who isn't a libertarian, I'm going to go with Obama.
I don't like him as a candidate, but he is leaps and bounds better than Barr or McCain. He will end the blatantly unconstitutional and wholly unlibertarian war in Iraq.
