is a completely useless statement? You will fail your paper if you present that as the conservative position on global warming. The greenhouse effect is a direct synonym for global warming. I'm guessing you got that definition from someone on another messageboard, which is why it's not a good idea to research your papers on messageboards.
Here's a hint: your teacher is looking for you to talk about the different ideas that liberals and conservatives have about
what is causing global warming.
