Shawnee - You must be pretty far from your stations. I suspect you're going to need a roof antenna if you go this route.

On the other hand, it doesn't cost much to try the hanger antenna.

I just used the hangers because we had them to spare (and it has a certain cache to say you made your HD antenna out of hangers).

I just wrote down the dimensions from the video and used that. I bought a 1 by 3 and the screws and washers from Home Depot and I got the converter thingy from radio shack. Make sure you sand the varnish off the hangers so they make good contact. It took me about an hour once I had the materials.
