yeah, brits are more flirty in general, now I think about it. We're totally into double-entendres and americans are not. We even have a phrase in case you look like you don't get it ("as the actress said to the bishop"). here, you say it and spell it out immediately afterwards whether they show signs of getting it or not, and add "just kidding" to make sure there are no hurt feelings......or don't bother to say anything at all.
That is something i miss about the UK (have been giving serious thought to becoming American today)
